THE FARM AWAROA

This is a unique logo design for a unique story. Two sisters who came together to purchase 10 acres of land in the Abel Tasman at a difficult time in their lives. Little did they know they would end up discovering how healing the whenua, (land) was and decide to start a business providing accommodation, retreats and workshops.

At a high level the brief was 'we love sacred geometry and Maori tukutuku patterns' It was an instant 'fall in love' moment for me. I adored this brief and couldn't wait to get crafting.

When I presented the concepts these were the words I shared with them.

HONORING FATHER SKY, MOTHER EARTH
FILLING OUR KETE WITH WISDOM AND NOURISHMENT
GATHERING, NURTURING, HEALING, RELEASING

In the logo the cross above represents the sun, our energy source and finding your true north. The arrow pointing down depicts Father Sky and the arrow pointing upwards represents Mother Earth. They connect. They have a symbiotic relationship with each other. There is also reference to Maori flax weaving and the Kete, gathering of kai and the gathering of wisdom. Combining aspects of what they will offer at The Farm Awaroa.
